This work is made from materials collected from my everyday life over weeks: receipts, receipt rolls, sugar and stirrer packaging from work, contact lens boxes, condom packaging, tampons, and to-do lists. Everything was first shredded into strips, with flimsier pieces dipped in layers of mod podge for stiffness.
These materials were woven using traditional Iranian techniques typically used for making baskets and bags from wooden strips, straws, and branches. The process transforms discarded objects from my daily routine into something that holds cultural significance.
The resulting vessel contains both pieces of my personal life and my cultural heritage, bridging the gap between the mundane and the meaningful through traditional craft techniques.
